ONGOING SCREENING & ASSESMENT
MHH/SOMEC can provide an ongoing off-site
human resources service for your company. Employers can use MHH/SOMEC
as a satellite facility to reduce the flow of job applicants
who solicit work at your company’s headquarters or offices.
Job seekers can find additional employment opportunities with
us if they do not match your requirements. It’s a win-win
situation for both you and your applicants.
CUSTOMIZED SCREENING
MHH/SOMEC can pre-screen candidates with customized
applications and interview questions. Our staff can facilitate
pre-hire activities such as entrance exams, background checks,
DMV checks, and drug testing. Only applicants that meet your
qualifications will be referred. Job Seekers not meeting your
requirements, in turn, may take advantage of other employment
opportunities available at MHH/SOMEC.
INTERVIEW/ORIENTATION FACILITIES
MHH/SOMEC has fully equipped facilities available
for employers to make group presentations or to conduct individual
interviews. Support staff is available to coordinate these events.
TAX CREDIT SCREENING
MHH/SOMEC can screen employers or employees
for their tax credit eligibility. Employers may be eligible for
tax credits, including Enterprise Zone, Welfare-to-Work, and
Work Opportunity tax credits.
OPENING A NEW FACILITY
MHH/SOMEC can develop a focused, one time
recruitment plan to notify job seekers of your company’s
job opening though its comprehensive mailing lists and established
networks of community based recruitment centers. According to
your standards, our program staff can manage the intake and assessment
of individuals and will refer only qualified candidates to you.
ONE-STOP MASS RECRUITMENT
An important part of MHH/SOMEC’s outreach
and recruitment service is the use of our facility and staff
to conduct mass screening and job interviews. The South of Market
Employment Center includes a fully equipped workshop area to
process groups of applicants, private offices for employers to
conduct one-on-one interviews, and support staff from SOMEC to
coordinate the necessary activities. This process benefits employers
in planning, coordinating, and hiring of start-up staff. This
means less interruption at the project site during preparation
of opening.
